More reviews mean more trust, and more trust means more customers choosing you over the competitor next door. But buying fake reviews is not just unethical — Google actively detects and penalizes it, sometimes suspending the entire listing. Here's how to build real review volume instead.

1. Ask at the moment of highest satisfaction

The single biggest lever is timing. Ask right after a good experience — right after checkout, right after a successful appointment, right after delivery — not days later in a generic bulk message.

2. Make it a two-tap process

Every extra step loses you reviews. Send a direct link that opens the review box immediately, ideally over WhatsApp or SMS where open rates are highest, rather than email alone.

3. Train your team to ask, not just hope

Reviews rarely happen by accident. Build a simple habit into your team's routine — the same way they'd hand over a receipt — so it doesn't depend on remembering.

4. Reply to every review, good and bad

A thoughtful reply to a negative review often does more for trust than another five-star review — it shows future customers how you handle problems.

5. Never incentivize the review itself

You can ask for feedback and thank customers for their time, but offering a discount in exchange for a positive review violates Google's policies. Reward loyalty generally, not reviews specifically.

Dolomite's Google Reviews Management service builds this entire system for you — the timing, the ask, the reply playbook — so it runs consistently instead of depending on someone remembering to do it.
